Dr. Matthew McFadden is a technology executive, cybersecurity expert, and industry thought leader with more than 20+ years of experience spanning cyber operations, engineering, enterprise architecture, innovation, and business growth.

He serves as Vice President, Cyber and Division CISO at General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), where he leads enterprise cybersecurity operations, architecture and engineering, cyber risk and governance, advanced R&D, and market-facing cyber strategy. He currently leads GDIT's Tidal Quantum Digital Accelerator and supports the broader cybersecurity solutions focus on offensive and defensive cyber operations.

Throughout his career, McFadden has combined executive leadership with deep technical experience across cyber operations, digital forensics, incident response, cyber investigations, malware analysis, penetration testing, threat detection, defensive cyber operations, zero trust, cloud security, AI-enabled cybersecurity, and post-quantum cryptography. He is a GDIT Distinguished Technologist reflecting sustained technical leadership and enterprise impact.

Dr. McFadden has supported major government and national-security missions across cyber operations, forensics, investigations, engineering, architecture, and modernization. His experience includes both operational cybersecurity and the development of enterprise capabilities used to support large-scale customer programs and strategic pursuits.

He holds a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership and a Doctor of Computer Science in Information Assurance and is an active CISSP. He is also an active industry speaker and thought leader who has spoken at more than 100+ conferences, executive forums, panels, and cybersecurity events on cybersecurity, AI, quantum security, emerging technology, and national security.
